Jera is the year turning: a return that comes on its own schedule and not on yours. September is a harvest month for something planted in a season already finished. The rune is unsentimental about it. You cannot hurry the ripening and you cannot claim credit for the weather. What you can do is be present when it comes in, and have somewhere to put it. Expect the timing to be inconvenient at least once. That is not the rune being difficult, it is simply what a season is. Practically, that means clearing somewhere to put what arrives, and resisting the urge to work harder as the month closes in the hope of hurrying it. Nothing about a season responds to effort applied late.
