Jera is the year and the harvest, the rune of a return that arrives on its own schedule and not yours. Its natural unit is twelve months and a week is a small slice of it, so the reading is specific: this is a harvest week, the one where something planted a season ago comes in. Take it in. Do not stand in the field deciding whether it is enough; the year decided that, and the deciding was done in spring. This week gather what is ripe, be exact about storing it, and leave in the ground whatever is not ready, because Jera is also the promise that the cycle turns again. What you do this week with the return is what determines whether next year's is larger.
