Three of Cranes

The Tarot of New York City

You may want a ribbon-cutting before the tower is finished. The Three of Cranes asks for the quieter pleasure of watching it rise. Today, set the plan for the next floor and let the applause wait.

Tarot: Today

A man in a suit stands with his back to us on the roof of his own construction site. Three cranes frame the view, a half-built tower shows its open floors, and brightly coloured delivery trucks turn in from both sides for the second project. The Three of Cranes is the moment after the first effort, when results start arriving. Today is better for surveying than for hammering. Look at what is already working, then sketch the next stage on paper. A call to a possible partner may be worth making. The trucks are coming; where you send them is still your decision.

Choose a stretch of time

Ten of Wands

Tomorrow

Thursday, October 29

Ten of Wands

Doing it all yourself can feel like proof of strength. Reversed, the Ten of Wands sees more strength in sharing the stage. Delegate one visible task today and let someone else take the credit.

 Nine of Brushes

This week

Week of Monday, October 26

Nine of Brushes

Fear of a poor result may be keeping you from checking it. The Nine of Brushes asks you to look anyway this week. Your dignity is safer with the truth than with the waiting.

 Judgement

Next week

Week of Monday, November 2

Judgement

Recognition may come for who you have grown into. Judgement asks you to accept it this week without performing for the crowd. Rise with your arms open, the way the figures on the card do.

 Three of Swords

This month

October 2026

Three of Swords

Being hurt in public was the worst part and it is nobody's news now. Reversed, this card lets you stop managing how the story looks. Repair happens off stage. Let somebody see you not yet recovered, once, and notice that nothing collapses.

 Six of Wands

This year

2026

Six of Wands

This is your card and your year, so the only real advice is about what comes after. Recognition changes what people expect next. Decide deliberately what you want to carry forward rather than accepting whatever the applause hands you.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Runes

Fehu

Wealth is a comfort to all, says the poem, and a man must deal it out freely for honour. Spend some of it visibly and some of it not.

I Ching

Difficulty at the Beginning

You will want to push through it grandly and alone. The text says appoint helpers, which for you is the whole lesson of this hexagram.

Numerology

Number 3

The audience is there and the material is good. The one way to lose this day is to perform the idea instead of testing it. Ask somebody to argue with you before you take it further.

Western zodiac

An easy angle. Warmth is returned without your working for it. Enjoy it and do not perform for it.
