Three of Cranes

The Tarot of New York City

Details of the second phase may call to you today, and that is useful. The Three of Cranes adds one request: look up from the drawings now and then. The whole skyline matters as much as the bolt count.

Tarot: Today

A man in a suit stands with his back to us on the roof of his own construction site. Three cranes frame the view, a half-built tower shows its open floors, and brightly coloured delivery trucks turn in from both sides for the second project. The Three of Cranes is the moment after the first effort, when results start arriving. Today is better for surveying than for hammering. Look at what is already working, then sketch the next stage on paper. A call to a possible partner may be worth making. The trucks are coming; where you send them is still your decision.

Ten of Wands

Tomorrow

Thursday, October 29

Ten of Wands

Holding on to work feels safer when you doubt anyone else will do it properly. Reversed, the Ten of Wands asks you to test that today. Hand over one job with clear instructions and let the result be good enough.

 Nine of Brushes

This week

Week of Monday, October 26

Nine of Brushes

You may be reviewing every possible mistake, again and again. The Nine of Brushes says the paper is already handed in. Stop correcting it in your head this week and wait for the actual verdict.

 Judgement

Next week

Week of Monday, November 2

Judgement

An honest review of the past is your strength, and Judgement asks for one this week. Be thorough, but not cruel. The aim is a clear conclusion that frees you, not a list of faults.

 Three of Swords

This month

October 2026

Three of Swords

You have examined this from every angle and understanding it has not healed it. Reversed, the Three of Swords is about release rather than insight. Stop conducting the post-mortem. Some things are simply survived rather than solved.

 Six of Wands

This year

2026

Six of Wands

You will find the flaw in the work being praised and mention it. Do not mention it. The Six of Wands asks you to receive the assessment as given for once, and to notice that other people's standard was met even where yours was not.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Runes

Fehu

Something you count as an asset has become livestock: it eats, it needs watching, and it may not be earning. Audit one holding today.

I Ching

Difficulty at the Beginning

The beginning is genuinely hard and you will look for what you did wrong. Nothing. Chaos precedes order here. Get help and hold position.

Numerology

Number 3

A 3 is loose and you will want to tidy it. Let the first draft stay untidy until the evening. Editing a thought too early is how you talk yourself out of good ones.

Western zodiac

The hard angle. Something is imperfect and cannot be fixed today. Tolerating that is the whole exercise. Friction is information rather than a verdict.
