Three of Cranes

The Tarot of New York City

Long-term plans are your territory, and the Three of Cranes rewards them. Something you set in motion may be showing results today. Stand on it, look ahead, and map the next stage while the view is clear.

Tarot: Today

A man in a suit stands with his back to us on the roof of his own construction site. Three cranes frame the view, a half-built tower shows its open floors, and brightly coloured delivery trucks turn in from both sides for the second project. The Three of Cranes is the moment after the first effort, when results start arriving. Today is better for surveying than for hammering. Look at what is already working, then sketch the next stage on paper. A call to a possible partner may be worth making. The trucks are coming; where you send them is still your decision.

Ten of Wands

Tomorrow

Thursday, October 29

Ten of Wands

Responsibility is second nature to you, and you may be close to your limit. Reversed, the Ten of Wands says the load can shrink without the project failing. Drop the obligations that no longer serve the goal today.

 Nine of Brushes

This week

Week of Monday, October 26

Nine of Brushes

You may be bracing for failure on something you worked hard at. The Nine of Brushes asks you to separate effort from outcome this week. What you did well stays done, whatever the board says.

 Judgement

Next week

Week of Monday, November 2

Judgement

You keep careful accounts, and Judgement asks you to read your own this week. What did the last chapter cost, and what did it build? Draw the conclusion, then decide the next step from there.

 Three of Swords

This month

October 2026

Three of Swords

You carried on working and called that coping. Reversed, the Three of Swords asks for actual repair rather than continued function. Take the time properly. Recovery is not a soft option, it is the thing that makes the next decade possible.

 Six of Wands

This year

2026

Six of Wands

This is the year the long game shows. Your instinct will be to treat it as a milestone rather than an achievement and move straight on. Mark it properly. Ten years of work deserves more than a note in the plan.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Runes

Fehu

You built the herd. Fehu asks what it costs to keep, which is the question you skip when the total is still rising.

I Ching

Difficulty at the Beginning

Your patience fits and the helpers do not come naturally. Appoint them anyway. A hard beginning carried alone takes three times as long.

Numerology

Number 3

Three looks like a wasted day by your accounting and is not. The conversation you have this afternoon is what makes the next three months of work possible. Treat it as work.

Western zodiac

An awkward angle. Something cannot be scheduled into working. Accept the untidiness for now. Adjustment without resolution is the whole shape of it.
