Ogham

Ór is gold, and its kenning is a metallurgical claim: most venerable of substances, because gold does not corrode. Iron rusts and silver blackens; gold out of the ground after three thousand years comes out looking as it went in. Today, notice what asks nothing of you. A skill you already have, or regard you earned a while ago and have not maintained since, is easy to overlook exactly because it is quiet and needs no work. The name is a Latin loan, aurum, so Ór also marks worth of yours being re-described in somebody else's vocabulary while the worth itself holds.
