Difficulty at the Beginning

Difficulty at the start is your natural habitat and you will do it alone. The text is explicit about helpers. Ask somebody.

I Ching: Today

Hexagram 3 is the blade of grass pushing through hard ground: a beginning that is genuinely difficult rather than merely slow. The classic says do not set out anywhere today, and does say to appoint helpers. That is the whole advice. Stay where you are, get support in place, and accept that the awkwardness now is structural rather than a sign you chose wrongly.

Biting Through

This is your instrument and the caution is proportion. Let justice be done rather than a point be made. One bite, not a demolition.

The Gentle

You do not repeat; you wait and then act. Today the hexagram is the wind, not the strike. Say the thing again, mildly, and let the pressure do what force would not.

The Army

You command from behind and nobody sees the direction come from you. The hexagram is fine with that. Today just make sure the judgement is seasoned, not merely hidden.

Inner Truth

You are aligned and rarely say so. The text says the crossing becomes possible through it. Let some of it be visible.

Modesty

Height that does not need pointing at suits you. Just carry it through to the end, which is where you sometimes withdraw.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Three of Cranes

Tarot

Three of Cranes

You trust results you can verify, and today some may be visible. The Three of Cranes shows the deliveries rolling in. Study what is working and why, then put your energy behind the strongest part of it.

Runes

Fehu

Money is the strife of kinsmen in the Icelandic poem. Whatever is shared today should be settled in the open rather than assumed.

Numerology

Number 3

Saying it costs you more than thinking it, and today the saying is the whole point. Pick one thing you have been holding and tell one person. None of the rest of your privacy is at stake.

Western zodiac

An awkward angle. Something is hidden and will not be uncovered today by pressing. Adjustment without resolution is the whole shape of it.
