The Gentle
You do not repeat; you wait and then act. Today the hexagram is the wind, not the strike. Say the thing again, mildly, and let the pressure do what force would not.
I Ching: This week
Hexagram 57 is wind over wind, and over a week its lines matter more than its Judgment, because they show where gentle pressure goes right and where it goes wrong. The first line advances and retreats, and the remedy it prescribes is a soldier's steadiness. The third reads repeated penetration, humiliation: going over the same ground without deciding. The fifth has no beginning but an end, three days of preparation before the turning point and three after. This week has roughly that shape. If a change is due, spend the first days readying it, make it once, and use the rest to consolidate. A poor start is likely to be redeemed by the handling. The top line is the warning, a search carried so far that the property and the axe are lost.
