Ogham
Peith is the last letter of Ogham and it exists to repair an act of tidying. Pín could write P; the scribes took that away to get a symmetrical vowel series; the need for P returned unchanged, so Beithe was softened into a new letter to do the old one's job. Today you are rebuilding something that already existed once. The work is real even though it should not have been necessary, and whoever made it necessary is unlikely to register that. Build the replacement plainly enough that it survives the next round of tidying.
