Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Tarot Academy: what you may do here, what we promise and what we do not, how paid programmes and refunds work, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Effective 14 September 2026
The short version
A plain summary for orientation. The sections below are what actually applies.
- Read freely, join if you want to
- The library is open to everyone. An account, which is free, adds the courses, the community and the right to publish a listing.
- Sixteen and over
- Accounts are for people aged sixteen and above.
- Tarot here is for reflection, not prediction you can bank on
- Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and nobody may promise a guaranteed outcome or power over another person's will.
- What you publish stays yours
- You keep your own words and images. You give us permission to show them on the platform, and you can take them down.
- We are not a party to your deals
- The directory introduces members to each other. Any reading, class or product you buy from another member is an agreement between the two of you.
1. The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Freedom Vision, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its address at 2810 North Church Street, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States, which operates tarot.ac and every language version of it. In these terms "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person reading.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. Where you also use a specific feature with its own rules, for example a paid course or an event, those rules apply on top of these and these terms fill the gaps.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with personal data and forms part of this agreement.
2. Who may use the site
You must be at least sixteen years old to hold an account. Reading the public library requires no account and no age check, but everything behind a sign-in does.
You must also be legally able to enter into this agreement, and not be barred from using our services under the law that applies to you. An organisation may hold an account if the person opening it is authorised to accept these terms for it.
3. Your account
Give us accurate details and keep them current. One person, one account, under a name you are entitled to use. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not pick a username designed to make readers think you are someone else.
Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you until you tell us the account has been compromised, so tell us quickly if it has.
You may close your account whenever you like by writing to [email protected]. Closing it removes your listings and profile from the site.
4. What Tarot Academy offers
The library. Card meanings, the compendiums of astrology, numerology, runes, palmistry, feng shui, stones, talismans, chakras and the I Ching, the daily forecasts, and the guides. Free to read, in every language we publish.
The Academy. A free thirty-day basic cartomancy course, and paid courses in three tiers, with bundles and a separate certification step.
The Community. Free membership, an optional paid Pro tier for community features, local circles, mentorship and forums.
The Marketplace and Directory. Member services, goods, businesses and profiles, which readers find and contact directly.
Events. Member-organised gatherings, alongside the conferences and festivals we run ourselves.
We add, change and retire features as the platform grows. Where a change would take away something you have paid for, we will tell you first and deal with it under Paid programmes below.
5. Paid programmes
Some of what we offer costs money: courses in the paid tiers, bundles of them, certification, and the Pro community subscription. The free course, the library and free membership stay free.
Prices appear on the page where the thing is sold, in the currency shown there, and they include any tax we are obliged to add at that point. We may change prices, but a change never applies to something you have already bought.
Payment. When checkout goes live, payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number. The processor's own terms will govern the payment itself.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Cancel any time before the next renewal date and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not charge a cancellation fee.
Access. A course you buy is licensed to you personally for as long as we run it, which we intend to be indefinitely. It is not transferable, and it may not be shared, resold or republished. If we ever have to retire a course you bought, we will give you notice and a fair refund of the unused part.
6. Cancellation and refunds
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. Digital content is the exception: when you ask for immediate access and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal by doing so, that right ends the moment access begins. We will ask you for that acknowledgement at checkout, in clear words, before you pay. If you have not started the course, the fourteen days stand.
Everyone else, and outside that period, we offer a refund on a paid course within fourteen days of purchase if you have completed no more than a fifth of it. Write to [email protected] and tell us the order and the reason. We pay refunds back to the original payment method.
Subscriptions are refundable for the current period only if you cancel within fourteen days of the first payment and have not used the Pro features in that time. Later periods are not refunded, but you can cancel at any time to stop the next one.
Certification is bought separately from the course. Once a certificate has been issued and assessed in your name, that fee is not refundable, because the work has been done. Before assessment begins, it is.
None of this limits a refund the law of your country gives you regardless.
7. Courses, tests and certification
Lessons unlock in order, and a test stands between one day's lesson and the next. That is how the course is designed to work, and attempts to skip the sequence, share answers or automate the tests void the progress recorded on the account.
A certificate from Tarot Academy records that you completed our programme and passed our assessment. It is not a state licence, a professional qualification, or a permission to practise anywhere that regulates such practice. We issue it in the name on your account, and we may withdraw it if we find the work was not yours.
8. What you publish
Everything you write, photograph or upload here stays yours. You do not sign your work over to us.
You do give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, translate, adapt for display and publish that content, for as long as you keep it on the platform and for the purpose of running and promoting the platform. Translation matters here: this site exists in fifty-two languages, and your listing may be shown translated. The licence ends when you delete the content, save for copies in ordinary backups and for anything another member lawfully copied while it was published.
You promise that what you publish is yours to publish, and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
We may remove content that breaks these terms, and we may decline to publish something without giving a detailed reason. We are not obliged to monitor what members publish, and we do not endorse it.
9. What may not be published here
This is a spiritual platform with an editorial line, and the line is this: nothing here may promise power over another person, and nothing here may promise a guaranteed outcome.
Concretely, you may not publish, sell or advertise:
- Work claiming to control, bind, compel or return another person's will, affection or behaviour, including love spells sold as control over a named individual.
- Guaranteed results of any kind: a guaranteed reconciliation, a guaranteed pregnancy, a guaranteed visa, a guaranteed win, a guaranteed cure.
- Curse removal, hex breaking or similar services sold on the back of a fear you introduced, and any offer that escalates a reading into a larger payment to avert a disaster you predicted.
- Medical, psychiatric or pharmaceutical claims: that a reading, stone, talisman or practice diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents illness, or that it should replace a doctor, a therapist or prescribed medication.
- Financial, legal or immigration advice dressed as divination, and predictions of specific market movements offered as a basis for investment.
- Readings about an identified third party who has not asked for one, where the purpose is to surveil, expose or manipulate them.
- Content that is hateful, harassing, sexual involving minors, violent, or that targets a person or group by race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Spam, scraped listings, fake reviews, pyramid or referral schemes, and anything illegal where you or your client is.
Love and relationship work is welcome when it is framed as compatibility, communication and self-understanding. Wellbeing work is welcome when it complements professional care and says so. If a listing reads as though it would leave a frightened person poorer, it does not belong here.
We enforce this by removing listings and, for repeated or serious breaches, by closing accounts.
10. The marketplace and directory
The directory introduces people. When you engage a reader, buy a product, book a session or hire a business you found here, the contract is between you and them. We are not the seller, the agent or the guarantor. We do not take payment for member services, we do not hold funds in escrow, and we do not arbitrate disputes between members.
Sellers are responsible for describing their work honestly, for delivering it, for their own taxes, and for holding whatever licence or registration their country requires. Buyers are responsible for checking that the person is right for them before paying.
Tell us about a member who behaves badly and we will act on the account. That is the extent of what we can do, and we would rather say so than imply protection we cannot give.
11. Events
Members organise spiritual breakfasts, dinners and circles through the platform. Those gatherings belong to their organisers, who are responsible for the venue, the safety of those attending, and any law that applies where it is held. We publish the listing and nothing more.
Where we organise an event ourselves, we say so plainly on the page, and the terms of that event apply to it.
12. Readings are not professional advice
Tarot, astrology, numerology, runes, palmistry and every other practice in this library are offered here as tools for reflection, study and self-understanding. They are not a substitute for professional advice, and nothing on this site, in our courses, or in a reading you obtain through a member, is:
- medical or psychological advice. Talk to a doctor or a qualified therapist about your health. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line now, not a card.
- legal advice. Talk to a lawyer.
- financial or investment advice. Talk to a licensed adviser.
You make your own decisions, and you are responsible for them. We say this not to hide behind it but because it is true, and because a practice that forgets it does harm.
13. Using the site fairly
Do not break into things, scrape the site at a scale that degrades it, bypass rate limits or paywalls, probe for vulnerabilities without asking us first, upload malware, or use the platform to spam our members.
Our content library is published for readers and for AI assistants that cite it. Reading it, quoting it with attribution and linking to it are all welcome. Copying it wholesale to republish as your own is not, whether a person or a crawler does it.
Found a security flaw? Write to [email protected] before telling anyone else, and we will work with you.
14. Our content and marks
The text, structure, translations, illustrations and code of this site belong to us or to our licensors, and are protected by copyright. The name Tarot Academy, the tarot.ac domain and our logo are ours.
Historic decks whose artwork has entered the public domain are reproduced here on that basis. Where a deck is still in copyright, we publish it under licence from its rights holder, and our licence does not pass to you. Our own writing about any deck, including every translation of it, is ours.
You may quote a reasonable extract with a visible link back. You may not republish whole pages, sell our material, or train a commercial model on a bulk copy of this library without our written permission.
15. Copyright complaints
If something published here infringes your copyright, write to [email protected] with the subject "Copyright" and include: what work was infringed, where the infringing material is on our site, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them, and your signature, electronic or physical.
We remove material that is properly notified, and we tell the member who posted it, who may send us a counter-notice. Members who infringe repeatedly lose their accounts.
16. Suspension and closure
You may leave at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts other members at risk, or that we are required by law to act on. Where the situation allows it we warn first and explain what is wrong. Where it does not, for example fraud or an immediate risk to someone, we act first and explain afterwards.
If we close your account for a breach, we do not refund unused paid time. If we close it for any other reason, or we discontinue the service, we refund it.
Sections that by their nature should survive the end of this agreement do: the licence over content still published, our disclaimers, the limits on liability, and the governing law.
17. Disclaimers
We work hard on this platform, and we still cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every fact in a library of this size is right. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant any outcome from studying here, from being listed here, or from a reading you obtain here.
Some countries do not allow these exclusions. If yours does not, they do not apply to you, and nothing here takes away a consumer right your law gives you.
18. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for any decision you took after a reading.
Where we are liable, our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and one hundred United States dollars.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
19. If you cause us a claim
If someone brings a claim against us because of what you published here, because of a service you sold through the directory, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and damages in defending it. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it without talking to you.
20. Changes to these terms
We update these terms as the platform grows. The date at the top of the page tells you which version is current, and we keep the earlier ones.
For a change that materially affects your rights, we will give notice on the site or by email at least thirty days before it takes effect, except where a change has to happen sooner for legal or security reasons. Carrying on using the site after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, close your account, and if you had paid for something you can no longer use under the new terms, write to us and we will refund the unused part.
21. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts sitting in Delaware have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where that law gives you the right.
Before going to court, please write to [email protected]. Most disputes end there, and it is much faster for everyone.
These terms are published in every language this site supports. The English text is the original one, and where a translation differs from it the English governs, except where the law of your own country gives the version in your language precedence.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it.
How to reach us
Questions about these terms, a complaint, a copyright notice and a refund request all go to the same place.
