Difficulty at the Beginning

Do not set out. That is the instruction and it is aimed at exactly your temperament. Stay, gather, and go when the ground gives.

I Ching: Today

Hexagram 3 is the blade of grass pushing through hard ground: a beginning that is genuinely difficult rather than merely slow. The classic says do not set out anywhere today, and does say to appoint helpers. That is the whole advice. Stay where you are, get support in place, and accept that the awkwardness now is structural rather than a sign you chose wrongly.

Biting Through

You will act decisively and possibly on the wrong obstruction. Identify the lodged thing precisely before you bite.

The Gentle

You said it once and moved on. Today come back and say it again. The Judgment says it helps to have somewhere to go, and here means returning to the same place.

The Army

You will march the army toward the horizon with no objective. Today the seasoned leader has one. Name it before the first step or the mass dissolves in the field.

Inner Truth

You are sincere and imprecise, which the text does not mind. Say the true thing today even if the framing is rough.

Modesty

You will do the work and mention it, once, and that will be enough to undo it. Carry it through and say nothing.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Three of Cranes

Tarot

Three of Cranes

A wider horizon suits you, and the Three of Cranes looks straight out at one. A new borough, market or contact may be within reach today. Plan the route before you go, so the expansion holds.

Runes

Fehu

Wealth that walks suits you and so does letting it. Just notice what you are feeding out of habit rather than intent.

Numerology

Number 3

The number hands you the microphone. Your claims run ahead of your evidence on a 3, so make the larger point and attach one concrete example, which is all anybody needs in order to believe you.

Western zodiac

Across the wheel. Somebody's caution meets your appetite. They are not wrong; hear the objection out. The other position is a real one, held by somebody.
