Difficulty at the Beginning

The difficulty will feel like a sign to stop. It is a sign to get help. Stay where you are and ask.

I Ching: Today

Hexagram 3 is the blade of grass pushing through hard ground: a beginning that is genuinely difficult rather than merely slow. The classic says do not set out anywhere today, and does say to appoint helpers. That is the whole advice. Stay where you are, get support in place, and accept that the awkwardness now is structural rather than a sign you chose wrongly.

Biting Through

You will hope it works itself loose. It will not. Say the difficult sentence today and let it be over.

The Gentle

You ask and drift when unanswered. Today ask again, same words, same aim. The gentle influence has somewhere to go, and you have to keep pointing it there.

The Army

You feel the mass of the army and cannot direct it. Today find the seasoned one and give them the feeling. Water inside the earth needs someone to say where the well goes.

Inner Truth

This is your hexagram entirely. Where you are genuinely aligned things move. Where you are performing alignment, this one is unforgiving.

Modesty

Your natural humility fits and the caution is completion. Modesty without carrying it through to the end is just self-effacement.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Three of Cranes

Tarot

Three of Cranes

Visions come easily to you; seeing one arrive in real trucks is rarer. The Three of Cranes asks you to notice what has actually landed today. Write the next step down, so the vision keeps its scaffolding.

Runes

Fehu

Something is being given away that should be counted first. Generosity is fine; unrecorded generosity becomes a grievance later.

Numerology

Number 3

What you make today comes out better than what you plan. Take the image or the phrase that arrives unbidden and put it somewhere permanent before it goes.

Western zodiac

The hard angle. Something requires a hard edge and you would rather dissolve than draw one. Draw it. Friction is information rather than a verdict.
