Inner Truth

You will present the version each person needs and the versions will meet. Inner truth is the one account you can give everywhere.

I Ching: This month

Hexagram 61 is sincerity that reaches even pigs and fishes, the least reachable creatures in the classic's imagination. October is about whether what you say matches what is actually inside, and the text is clear that this kind of truth is what makes the difficult crossing possible. The month rewards holding to the course. Practically that means the influence available to you now comes from consistency rather than from argument. Where you are genuinely aligned, things will move that you did not expect to move. Where you are performing an alignment you do not feel, this hexagram is unusually unforgiving and people will sense the gap without being able to name it.

Difficulty at the Beginning

You will wait for it to become easier before committing. It will not. Commit and get support, which is a different move from setting out.

Tomorrow

Thursday, October 29

Biting Through

You will look for the version that upsets nobody. There is not one. Something has to be bitten through, and the fairness is in doing it once and cleanly.

The Gentle

You will soften the second request until it is no longer a request. Today keep it the same. Gentle is not vague; the wind has a direction.

Next week

Week of Monday, November 2

The Army

You will consult the army about where to march. An army does not vote. Today somebody experienced decides, and if that is you, decide; if not, follow.

Modesty

Reducing the excessive and adding to the insufficient is your instinct expressed as a hexagram. Do it without seeking agreement first.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Three of Swords

Tarot

Three of Swords

You have been fair to everyone including the person who hurt you, and reversed, this card asks you to be fair to yourself as well. Forgiveness is available this month and it is not the same as deciding it was acceptable.

Runes

Laguz

A current you did not set. Choose the crossing point rather than trying to still the water. State your own position once, plainly.

Numerology

Number 11

An 11 shows you the imbalance you have been politely ignoring. Look at it without deciding what to do. The decision is a different day's work.

Western zodiac

The driver stands in your own sign. Every consideration weighs equally today, which is precisely why nothing decides itself. Choose one.
