Capricorn I Ching: October 2026

One of the sixty-four hexagrams

This month · October 2026

Inner Truth

You will act correctly whether or not you feel it, which is duty rather than inner truth. The hexagram asks for the feeling to match.

I Ching: This month

Hexagram 61 is sincerity that reaches even pigs and fishes, the least reachable creatures in the classic's imagination. October is about whether what you say matches what is actually inside, and the text is clear that this kind of truth is what makes the difficult crossing possible. The month rewards holding to the course. Practically that means the influence available to you now comes from consistency rather than from argument. Where you are genuinely aligned, things will move that you did not expect to move. Where you are performing an alignment you do not feel, this hexagram is unusually unforgiving and people will sense the gap without being able to name it.

Choose a stretch of time

Today

Wednesday, October 28

Difficulty at the Beginning

Your patience fits and the helpers do not come naturally. Appoint them anyway. A hard beginning carried alone takes three times as long.

Tomorrow

Thursday, October 29

Biting Through

You will follow the process while the obstruction stays lodged. The text authorises the direct act. Take it.

This week

Week of Monday, October 26

The Gentle

You repeat instructions as policy. Today repeat one as a person, without the memo. The Gentle is a voice, not a process, and it is heard because it comes back.

Next week

Week of Monday, November 2

The Army

You are the seasoned leader by temperament and the Image asks the other thing: generosity when you need nothing. Today be open-handed with people whose help you do not yet require.

This year

2026

Modesty

The noble person carries things through to the end. That is your competence, and this is the year it goes unremarked and still counts.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Three of Swords

Tarot

Three of Swords

You carried on working and called that coping. Reversed, the Three of Swords asks for actual repair rather than continued function. Take the time properly. Recovery is not a soft option, it is the thing that makes the next decade possible.

Runes

Laguz

Something uncontrollable is in motion. Build for the current rather than against it. Decide where it ends before you begin.

Numerology

Number 11

You distrust anything you cannot show your working for, and today you know something you cannot. Note it and carry on with the schedule. Your instinct earns its place quietly.

Western zodiac

The hard angle. The plan meets something that will not move for it. Revise the schedule rather than the ambition.
