Dair is the oak: the best material available, and the skill that deserves to work it. Today something of genuine quality is in your hands, and oak punishes haste. Take the time the material is worth. What is made carelessly out of good wood is a worse outcome than anything made carefully out of poor. Ask who else has worked material this good, and what they wish they had known first. Oak also keeps: nothing about this needs finishing today.
