Laguz

Water is your element and the caution is direction. Currents go somewhere; make sure it is where you want.

Runes: This month

Laguz is water: a medium you can cross and cannot control. October asks you to work with a current rather than against one. Something this month is larger than your ability to direct it, whether that is a market, an institution or a mood in the people around you. The rune does not counsel surrender. It counsels navigation. Learn where the flow is going before you commit the crossing, and remember that the sea is indifferent rather than hostile, which is a more useful thing to know than it sounds. Decide the crossing point before you commit, and accept that the current will still be there when you are done arguing with it.

Fehu

Something is being given away that should be counted first. Generosity is fine; unrecorded generosity becomes a grievance later.

Tomorrow

Thursday, October 29

Thurisaz

You have no thorns and today the rune lends you one. Use it. A single sharp edge, kept where it belongs, is what keeps the rest of you from being walked through.

Week of Monday, October 26

Kenaz

Something is sore and you will hope it settles. Look at it today; it does not settle on its own.

Next week

Week of Monday, November 2

Gebo

Something is given and you will accept it to avoid the awkwardness of declining. Decline if you mean to.

Jera

Something planted comes back changed. Receive it rather than measuring it against what you sowed. Put it in words somebody can answer.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Three of Swords

Tarot

Three of Swords

You feel it all and this month it starts to lift. Reversed, the Three of Swords is the quiet part after the pain rather than a dramatic resolution. Accept the help offered, especially the kind that arrives without ceremony, and let it take the time it takes.

I Ching

Inner Truth

This is your hexagram entirely. Where you are genuinely aligned things move. Where you are performing alignment, this one is unforgiving.

Numerology

Number 11

You have no filter on a day that needs one. Limit the people and the screens. What comes through today is worth having, and only if you are still standing at the end of it.

Western zodiac

An awkward angle. Something is unclear and will stay unclear. Decide provisionally rather than waiting for certainty. Adjustment without resolution is the whole shape of it.
