Ogham — Runes: Saturday, September 12

Sail is the willow: first to flower and, in the kennings, the colour of the dead. Beginning and ending in the same letter. Today carries both, which is less ominous than it sounds. Something starts precisely because something else has finished, and trying to keep both is the only real error available. Name what has finished before you name what is starting, or the two blur into one confused week.
