Influence

Hexagram 31 is a lake resting in a hollow at the top of a mountain: mutual attraction, and the classic's most bodily figure. The Judgment is its plainest endorsement of a match: success, it rewards holding to the course, taking a wife brings good fortune. The Image gives the mechanism. The noble person draws people near by being empty enough to receive them. Today, something or someone is drawn to you, and the pull is well-founded. Do not fill the hollow with talk, plans or reassurance. Be the space the attraction can settle into. Influence here is receptive, and the receiving is the whole of the act.
