Fehu

Cattle walk away if unattended. Whatever you own that needs feeding will need it today, and your instinct is to acquire rather than tend.

Runes: Today

Fehu is cattle: wealth that walks, and can walk away. Today it points at whatever you own that needs feeding, whether that is money, a possession, a commitment or a reputation. None of it is passive. Ask what your holdings are costing you in upkeep, and whether the answer is still worth it. Something you count as an asset may quietly have become livestock.

Thurisaz

You are the thorn and the giant, so today is familiar ground. The rune's warning is for you specifically: the sharpness works when it stays in the hedge, and injures you first when you pick it up to use it.

Kenaz

Something burning, and the choice of whether that is light or infection. Look at it directly today and decide which, because they need opposite treatment.

Gebo

A gift and the obligation tied in the same knot. Something is offered today. Accept plainly or decline plainly, and say which.

Laguz

Water: a medium you can cross and cannot control. Read the current before committing to the crossing. Move once and let it stand.

Jera

The year turning: a return arriving on its own schedule rather than yours. Nothing here responds to being hurried.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Three of Cranes

Tarot

Three of Cranes

You like to be on site with your sleeves rolled up. The Three of Cranes asks you to climb to the roof instead and look. Today a clear view of the next phase may save you a week of rushing at the wrong floor.

I Ching

Difficulty at the Beginning

The blade of grass through hard ground. The text says do not set out and does say appoint helpers. Stay where you are and get support in place, which is the opposite of your instinct.

Numerology

Number 3

Three wants it said rather than done, which grates. Spend the day making the case instead of making the move, and you reach Thursday with people already agreeing.

Western zodiac

An easy angle. Something opens without a fight, which is unfamiliar territory for you. Take it without needing to have forced it.
