Ger is the good season, which the English poem describes as the earth giving bright fruits to rich and poor alike. The harvest does not check who deserved it. This week yours comes in and so does somebody else's, and the second one may be a person you would have left in the field. Let it be. The rune is clear that the season's return is not a judgement, and the week is spent better bringing in your own than measuring theirs. Gather, store, and be as indifferent as the earth about who else got fruit.
