Biting Through

You will work around the obstruction to avoid the confrontation. It is lodged between the jaws. Going around it is what has kept it there.

I Ching: Tomorrow

Hexagram 21 is biting through an obstruction that is lodged between the jaws. Something has to be dealt with directly today, and the text says it helps to let justice be done. This is not a hexagram of diplomacy. Name the obstacle plainly, apply the necessary force once, and do not soften it into another week of chewing.

Difficulty at the Beginning

A hard beginning and you will read it as a warning to withdraw. It is not. Stay, appoint helpers, and let the difficulty be difficulty rather than a verdict.

The Gentle

You ask once and then feel unheard. Today ask again, in the same tone, with no hurt in it. The wind is not offended by having to return.

The Army

You gather a following by caring for it, which is the Image exactly. Today keep doing that, and add the Judgment: someone experienced has to point the following somewhere.

Inner Truth

Inner truth is your native ground. The caution is that sincerity is not the same as disclosure; you can be wholly aligned and still choose what to say.

Modesty

Your instinct to work unseen fits exactly. The addition is carrying it through to the end rather than withdrawing once it is going well.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Ten of Wands

Tarot

Ten of Wands

You often carry other people's worries along with your own. Reversed, the Ten of Wands asks you to set theirs down for a while today. If guilt follows, look at it honestly: rest is not abandonment.

Runes

Thurisaz

Your defences are soft-edged and this rune's are not. Today, let one boundary be sharp and unapologetic. The people who matter will step round it; the ones who grasp it were going to anyway.

Numerology

Number 22

What you build today is for the people who come after you, which is the motivation that actually works on you. Frame the work that way and the discipline arrives by itself.

Western zodiac

One sign along. Something close to home needs a small adjustment rather than a decision. Small corrections are cheap now and expensive later.
