The Army

You gather a following by caring for it, which is the Image exactly. Today keep doing that, and add the Judgment: someone experienced has to point the following somewhere.

I Ching: Next week

Hexagram 7 has one firm line among five yielding ones, and over a week its lines read as a short course in organisation. The first insists on order at the outset; if the arrangements are loose, little that follows will hold. The second puts the trusted person in the middle of the work, backed again and again from above. The third and fifth describe what goes wrong when direction is split between too many hands. The fourth is the one people forget: pulling back in good order counts as no blame. This week, if you are running anything with other people, settle early who decides what. If a plan stalls, an orderly step back is allowed. The top line looks past the result to who is given lasting responsibility, and advises against rewarding the opportunists.

Difficulty at the Beginning

A hard beginning and you will read it as a warning to withdraw. It is not. Stay, appoint helpers, and let the difficulty be difficulty rather than a verdict.

Tomorrow

Thursday, October 29

Biting Through

You will work around the obstruction to avoid the confrontation. It is lodged between the jaws. Going around it is what has kept it there.

The Gentle

You ask once and then feel unheard. Today ask again, in the same tone, with no hurt in it. The wind is not offended by having to return.

This month

October 2026

Inner Truth

Inner truth is your native ground. The caution is that sincerity is not the same as disclosure; you can be wholly aligned and still choose what to say.

This year

Modesty

Your instinct to work unseen fits exactly. The addition is carrying it through to the end rather than withdrawing once it is going well.

Choose an oracle

Each one is read a different way. The tarot draws, the Chinese zodiac calculates.

Judgement

Tarot

Judgement

Reunions touch you deeply, and Judgement may bring one this week. Meet the person or the memory with an open heart. Forgiveness, including towards yourself, sits at the centre of this card.

Runes

Gebo

Something is given and you will feel the obligation before the pleasure. Take it plainly; the ledger is optional.

Numerology

Number 5

Five pulls you out of the house and the shell, and you will resist. Take the smaller version: a different route, one new person, home again by evening.

Western zodiac

The flowing angle. What you give is met in kind today, which is rarer than you think and worth noticing.
