Discretion and dishonesty look alike from the outside, and only you know which one you are practising. The Seven of Subways is not a warning against being clever. Taking the side street is fine. Running the red light is not, and today the difference matters more than usual. If you are keeping something back, be able to say plainly why. If you cannot, that is your answer.

Aries

Indirection irritates you, which is your protection here. You are unlikely to sneak, and far more likely to charge at something that needed a quieter approach. The Seven of Subways suggests the side street today. Not deceit, just the route that does not require you to win an argument first.

Taurus

You want the honest slow road and you are mostly right. Just notice where stubbornness is dressing itself up as integrity. Declining a workable shortcut because it feels undignified is a choice, not a principle. Take the practical route today, and keep it one you would happily describe out loud.

Gemini

You can construct a version of events that is entirely true and completely misleading, and today you will be tempted to. That is the exact line this card is about. If you would not be comfortable with everyone in the room hearing the same account, it is not discretion any more.

Your failure mode is the opposite of sneaky: you say the true thing at the worst possible moment and call it honesty. Today the Seven of Subways asks for timing rather than concealment. Same content, better hour. Waiting until somebody can hear it is not a compromise of your principles.

Capricorn

Dragon

Pride wants the plan announced before it is ready. Hold it a little longer. Working quietly is not concealment, and a Dragon can rarely tell the difference at the moment of deciding.

Snake

This is your card and your competence, which is exactly why it repays reading carefully. Strategy comes naturally and needs no defending. The only question is whether somebody else pays for it.
